AEW Star MJF Dismisses Bret Hart’s “Who Is That?” Comment

In November, Bret Hart made headlines when he claimed he didn’t know who MJF was, responding to the interviewer by saying, “Who is that?” Obviously, this would get back to the AEW star, with some expecting one of his trademark fierce responses to follow soon. However, speaking to Fightful, MJF has actually played this down, calling Hart a “troll” like himself and insisting that Hart definitely knows him, joking, “it’s definitely Goldberg’s fault.

“Look, the guy had a seizure. He got kicked in the fucking head. He’s old as f*ck. Do I think it’s Bill Goldberg’s fault? Everything’s Bill Goldberg’s fault…. Bret, much like me, is a troll. Do I think he actually doesn’t know who I am? Of course, he f*cking knows who I am.”MJF

68-year-old Hart’s full-time in-ring career ended due to a severe concussion suffered at WCW Starrcade on December 19, 1999, during a match against Bill Goldberg. Goldberg’s stiff kick to Hart’s head caused immediate damage, and while the former WWE Champion continued wrestling briefly, it was soon discovered he was suffering from post-concussion syndrome. This would force him to vacate the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in January 2000 and eventually retire, and, given his constant digs towards Goldberg for his unsafe style, it’s clear Hart has struggled to forgive his former colleague.
