Angélico has been with AEW since the start, initially working alongside Jack Evans in the tag team The Hybrid2. However, while Evans has since departed the company, Angélico has remained employed working as a regular for AEW’s sister promotion, Ring of Honor. And now proving his value is more than just being a good worker who can put over big names, Fightful Select has reported he is now working as a coach and a producer.
38-year-old Angélico, real name Adam Bridle, broke into the business in 2007 in his home country of South Africa. Still, knowing he was capable of wrestling on a bigger stage, he would travel to Spain and embrace lucha libre and begin training under Último Dragón’s guidance. This opened the door for him to work in Japan and Mexico, leading to his big break as part of the Lucha Underground roster. Therefore, when Tony Khan needed bodies to fill the AEW roster in the early days, he was one of the first names signed.
