Fans have been clamoring for news on the upcoming AEW video game, and today it was announced the company has partnered with Yuke’s Co. Ltd. is a Japanese video game developer based in Osaka. Yukes had worked on WWE games since 2000’s WWF SmackDown! up until 2018’s WWE 2K19 but had the franchise taken from them when 2K moved it to Visual Concepts Entertainment who they owned and developed the NBA 2K franchise. This news is considered monumental in the video game industry, and fans are relieved to find out that the AEW is in good hands with a company with vast experience.
While no release date was confirmed, it was revealed that the game would be available on both current and next-gen consoles. You can watch the first official trailer below.
Additionally, AEW will also be releasing two mobile games, the first being “AEW Elite General Manager,” which allows fans to run AEW by booking matches. The second is “AEW Casino: Double or Nothing,” which will be available later this year.
