AEW Mainstay Has Signed A New Multi-Year Contract

The nature of the wrestling business means talents frequently come and go, and therefore, it’s never guaranteed that a wrestler’s contract will be renewed. However, in good news for fans who enjoy Matt Menard’s in-ring work and commentary, it has been reported by Fightful Select that he recently inked a five-year deal to remain All Elite.

“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard signed a new contract to remain in AEW long-term … Menard’s deal is five years in length, which goes well into the summer of 2030.”Fightful Select

41-year-old Menard along with longtime tag partner Angelo Parker joined AEW in 2021 having been released by WWE earlier that year. And while it was initially assumed they had been hired to put over bigger names, the pair received  a huge career break when they were chosen to be in the Jericho Appreciation Society and became regularly featured on AEW television. Still, it actually appears Menard’s long-term future could be behind the announce desk, as he has also proven to be a naturally talented colour commentator.
