AEW Has Reportedly Taken Initial Action Against CM Punk & Jack Perry

AEW management should be celebrating the fact they packed in over 81,000 paying fans into Wembley Stadium on Sunday for All In. However, instead, they have been dealing with the aftermath of a backstage altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry, which apparently saw Punk putting Perry in a chokehold after the two argued.

And now, following Tony Khan revealing during the post-show media scrum the situation was being investigated, it has been reported by Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com that both men might have been suspended and will, therefore, miss next weekend’s All Out event in Chicago.

This backstage incident between Punk and Perry seemingly stemmed from a previous disagreement where Perry wanted to do a pre-taped angle involving real glass, and Punk told him not to because it was too dangerous. Therefore, when Perry looked into the camera during his All In Zero Hour match with Hook and said, “It’s real glass, cry me a river,” following a spot on a limousine, it was seen by most as a direct shot at Punk.
