AEW Commentator To Miss Forbidden Door

AEW Commentator To Miss Forbidden Door

Last year, AEW commentator Taz was forced to take some time off due to the need for knee replacement surgery. Yet while he was able to return to the announce desk, he has now disclosed on X that he is set to miss this week’s Dynamite/Collision taping and Forbidden Door, which are taking place in the UK, due to having some doctor’s appointments scheduled. Additionally, he would note that long flights aren’t compatible with his knee, and will therefore be focusing on getting some rest and recuperation.

57-year-old Taz is best known nowadays for being a broadcaster, although he was a very highly regarded pro wrestler between 1987 and 2002. Still, despite being incredibly popular as an in-ring performer, he opted to focus on commentary, first with WWE and then TNA, due to the wear and tear on his body. And despite taking an extended break from the business to focus on a nationally syndicated morning radio show, he returned to his true passion in 2019 when he signed with AEW.
