Ace Steel Fined By All Elite Wrestling

Ace Steel Fined By All Elite Wrestling

This week’s episode of Dynamite saw CM Punk’s longtime friend Ace Steel cut a promo on the former AEW World Champion in order to motivate him into facing Jon Moxley at All Out. And while both men were phenomenal on the mic, Steel dropped an f-bomb. And now PWInsider.com has reported that he was fined because of this, although it was noted that the money would go to charity.

As part of AEW All Out week, talents received an email discussing a number of points for the week as the company has a lot of different events going on. PWInsider.com is told one of those points was to be careful not to use expletives on live TV this week for all the obvious reasons. Well, obviously, AEW Producer Ace Steel dropped a curse during his fired up promo with CM Punk last night in Chicago. PWInsider.com has learned that talents were informed today that Steel immediately returned backstage after the promo and took responsibility for the error. He agreed to a fine, which was paid and according to today’s communication from the company, will be donated to a charity.

For those unaware, Steel has been wrestling since 1991, and while a good wrestler, he never received an opportunity to make a name for himself in a major promotion, at best working for WWE as an enhancement talent in the mid-2000s. He was though instrumental in training Punk which will ultimately be his wrestling legacy. And while he still competes on the indie scene, he had been working as a coach for WWE between 2019 and 2022 before budget cuts saw him released, and he promptly signed with AEW as a producer.
