Guitarist Zakk Wylde has been busy on the road rocking in the re-formed Pantera. Wylde commented on the shows before the trek began late last year.

“Obviously, it’s not Pantera,” he said. “Pantera is those four guys — it’s Phil, Rex, Dime and Vinnie. But it’s just like when Zeppelin went out with Jason Bonham [son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham] playing, it was phenomenal. I told Jason, I was just, like, ‘Dude, you crushed it, man.’ It’s a great thing just to hear them play that music again. I’m beyond honored to be a part of it.”

Wylde is now also offering Pantera fans a chance to own one of his stage-used guitars at every stop of the band’s upcoming tour. There are VIP meet-and-greet tickets available with Wylde where he’ll give you one of the guitars for $3,500. There are three stage-played guitar choices available which run around $1,400 each when purchased on their own. The VIP tickets are also for Wylde only and don’t include a ticket to the Pantera show.

Recently, longtime Pantera producer Sterling Winfield blasted fans who are upset with Wylde not exactly emulating Dimebag Darrell’s style.

“People keep b*tching about, ‘It doesn’t sound like Dime.’ Of course it doesn’t sound like Dime,” Winfield told the “Is Breakfast Included?” podcast. “It’s Zakk. It blows my mind that people are that picky. But whatever… Instead of picking it apart, listen to the song, man. Don’t just listen to Zakk, okay?”

Pantera resumes live dates starting at the end of May, and the band has shows scheduled through 2024 when they will appear on select Metallica concerts.
