WWE’s masked attacker saga has taken a tantalizing turn, with it now claimed that the man who attacked Rey Mysterio and aided Logan Paul against LA Knight on the December 8 episode of Raw wasn’t Austin Theory, who interfered at Survivor Series. Instead, according to Bryan Alvarez during the latest Wrestling Observer Live, it was a disguised Montez Ford. According to the update, Paul Heyman is a big fan of both men, and while a decision hasn’t been made yet, they could soon join The Vision.

“There are actually two people portraying the mystery man. In particular, the one who appeared at the end of the show, that’s believed to be Montez Ford. Paul Heyman is a really big fan of Montez. He’s also a really big fan of Austin Theory. Whether that means Theory, Montez, one or the other, or both end up in The Vision, that’s still to be determined.”Bryan Alvarez

35-year-old Ford, real name Kenneth Crawford, is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who signed with WWE in 2015. He would soon go on to make his NXT debut working both as a singles wrestler and as part of multiple tag teams, although his career really took off when he formed The Street Profits with Angelo Dawkins in 2017. From there, the duo captured the NXT Tag Team Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship, and SmackDown Tag Team Championship twice, earning WWE’s Tag Team Triple Crown. However, while now considered a tag team specialist, fans have been clamouring for him to get a singles push for several years.
