Ridge Holland is currently part of WWE’s EVOLVE brand and is attempting to reestablish himself under the unique nickname of “The Steam Pig,” having previously been on the main roster as part of the Brawling Brutes. However, despite having an impressive look, the 37-year-old wrestler has so far failed to get over with the majority of fans.
And now, in unfortunate news, his career has suffered yet another setback, as after his match against Moose at TNA’s recent television taping had to be stopped, Holland has disclosed on X that he’ll be undergoing foot surgery later this week.
Holland, real name Luke Menzies, decided to pursue pro wrestling in 2017 after being a journeyman rugby league player in his home country of England. Subsequently, he signed with WWE the following year and looked set to get every opportunity to be a star. Yet, after accidentally breaking Big E’s neck during an episode of SmackDown, fans would turn on Holland, resulting in him frequently receiving online abuse and even death threats.
