Heavy metal and professional wrestling often go hand-in-hand. Both WWE and AEW frequently license songs from the genre for their programming, and both companies have featured several rock and/or metal bands performing on their shows to play talent to the ring.
With her “Dark Angel” gear and devil horns crown, Chilean WWE superstar Stephanie Vaquer certainly looks like a metalhead. Her “Bury Me” entrance theme is also a slab of modern metal that sets the tone for her appearances. Recently while guesting on Thunder Rosa’s YouTube channel, Vaquer spoke about her love for the genre. “I listen to everything,” she said before getting more specific. “Oh, I know everyone says the same thing, but I actually do listen to everything because I like it. (But) I think my favorite genre will always be metal.”
Vaquer was then asked to name her favorite metal band. “Iron Maiden,” she said without hesitation. Her favorite song? “Wasted Years.” Vaquer also name-dropped Arch Enemy as her favorite band with a female vocalist.
