WWE is happy to embrace its history as long as it is on its own terms, with a recent example of this occurring earlier this year when they aired footage of the 1983 cage match between Jimmy Snuka and Don Muraco, overlooking that earlier that same year, the Fijian had allegedly killed his girlfriend. And while that caused some controversy online, it seems the company either didn’t see it or simply doesn’t care, as it has now been revealed that Snuka merchandise is again being manufactured with their partner Topps, with a new trading card of the ’80s star set to be released.
For those unaware, on May 10, 1983, 23-year-old Nancy Argentino died while on the road with Snuka, with an autopsy suggesting her head had been struck, causing a traumatic brain injury. Additionally, it was discovered she was covered in cuts and bruises, leading to the assumption of domestic abuse. Yet while the forensic pathologist stated the death needed to be investigated, it’s understood that once Vince McMahon got involved, the situation blew over, with it claimed by conspiracy theorists that someone may have possibly been paid off.
