WWE Is Making Huge Change To SummerSlam

Back in 2020, WWE was forced to tape WrestleMania 36 behind closed doors due to the pandemic, and in the process, decided to air the event over two nights. This change was so well received by fans that every WrestleMania has been a two-night event since then. And now it has been announced via the official X account of U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota that not only is SummerSlam set to be held at the stadium in 2026 but will follow WrestleMania’s lead and be held over multiple nights.

It’s well known that Minnesota wanted to host WrestleMania 41, and therefore, some fans were surprised when the event was awarded to Las Vegas. However, when it was confirmed that the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority had approved a $5 million payment to WWE to host the event, it became apparent why their bid had won. Seemingly, though, WWE has managed to keep Minnesota onside by offering to bring SummerSlam to the city and making the event an even bigger deal than in past years.
