WWE Hall Of Famer Says CM Punk Is “Done”

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has criticized World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk’s recent performance on Raw, noting that he wrestled in a t-shirt and appeared slower with less impactful strikes. On his popular Kliq This podcast, Nash argued that the 47-year-old champion no longer suits being a top titleholder, suggesting he’s past his prime by referring to him as “done.” Nash then advocated for Bron Breakker to defeat Punk for the belt during next week’s Raw.

“I watched Punk in the main event of that match last Monday, number one, if you’re the Heavyweight Champion of the WWE and you wrestle in a t-shirt? Ouch. Number two, his punches looked really slow, he looked slow. I think he’s done. I think Bron should beat him.”Kevin Nash

CM Punk rose from the independent scene to WWE stardom in 2006 and famously held the WWE Championship for 434 days. Following his shock departure, he fought twice in UFC, but looked far from impressive, and subsequently joined AEW. However, what should have been a match made in heaven turned into a nightmare due to backstage altercations, resulting in the firing of the controversial star. Still, as a big name, he would get the opportunity to resume his career in WWE and achieve his career goal this year by headlining WrestleMania night one.
