Wrestler Shares Update After Being Stabbed By Crazed Fan

At a Ruthless Pro Wrestling Omega event in Illinois, a crazed fan stunned the crowd by rushing the ring during the main event between Kruel and Shlak with a knife stemming from a disagreement earlier in the night over buying wrestling merchandise. However, as the attacker tried to flee after stabbing Kruel, wrestlers from the locker room and several audience members quickly intervened, subduing and beating him down. And now the wrestler best known for his time in MLW has shared an update on X, thankfully declaring, “Krule is Fine.”

Several professional wrestlers have suffered real-life stabbing incidents, both in and out of the ring. The most infamous is Bruiser Brody, fatally stabbed in the shower backstage at a 1988 Puerto Rico event by fellow wrestler José González, who was acquitted after claiming self-defense. Other cases include New Jack stabbing his opponent, William Jason Lane, multiple times during a 2004 hardcore match, leading to his arrest, and Alberto Del Rio surviving a knife attack outside a restaurant in 2016. Fans have also attacked wrestlers in rare ring invasions, although, thanks to major promotions having so much security nowadays, this occurs far less often.
