Both Andrade and Naomi returned to WWE at this past weekend’s Royal Rumble as surprise entrants in their respective Rumble matches. And now it has been reported by Fightful Select that Andrade is headed to Raw while Naomi will be featured on SmackDown. Whether the duo will appear on this week’s shows remains unknown, but it seems likely given the buzz their returns gained.
34-year-old Andrade departed WWE back in 2021 after spending six years with the company. At the time, he was dissatisfied with his creative and thought the grass would be greener elsewhere. Yet, his two-and-a-half-year run with AEW was hampered by injury, and after not being pushed beyond the mid-card, he decided to return to WWE at the earliest opportunity.
36-year-old Naomi also left WWE due to being disillusioned with how she was being used. And while the exact circumstances surrounding her departure remain unclear, it’s known she was initially suspended after she and Sasha Banks walked out of a television taping. Subsequently, she joined TNA, then called Impact Wrestling, and was presented as one of their biggest stars.
