With Bray Wyatt set to be a free agent on October 29th, there has been a lot of speculation about the former WWE star joining All Elite Wrestling. Unfortunately, though, he will not be able to take The Fiend gimmick with him because WWE owns. Although it appears he is already teasing his new character on social media ahead of announcing his next move.
Now on one of his YouTube shows, former WWE, WCW, and TNA Writer Vince Russo has suggested Wyatt doesn’t stay in the wrestling business and instead heads to Holywood. With the Russo believing with some help, he could become the next Jason Voorhees or Freddy Krueger.
I pray to God, bro, please get a Hollywood agent, flesh out this character the way that you saw this character. You flesh it out, your image, your creation, get together with a screenwriter. Bro, you’ve got the next Jason, Freddy, for the next ten years. Please don’t go to AEW. This guy is better than wrestling. Please, bro, trust me on this. This guy could be the next horror icon, doing it his way.
Due to Wyatt’s family history in the wrestling business and the amount of money he is likely to be offered, it seems doubtful he would leave the wrestling business. Although stranger things have happened and Wyatt is known for his imagination and is often described as a creative genius.
It should be noted Vince McMahon regularly took legal action against WCW whenever he felt they infringed on his intellectual property during the Monday Night Wars days. Given this, both Wyatt and whatever company he ends up working for need to be very creative not to open themselves to legal issues.
