Over the weekend, news spread that Vince Russo was heading to the NWA after his podcast co-host suggested this was the promotion he’d agreed to write for. And while this made sense at the time, it appears Russo and his host were working the “marks,” as the former WWE and WCW writer has now taken to X to reveal he was in attendance at the Insane Clown Posse’s show at Summit Music Hall in Denver. This suggests that he is actually writing for Juggalo Championship Wrestling, the promotion ICP launched back in 1999.
For those unaware, JCW, formerly known as Juggalo Championsh*t Wrestling, is a hardcore wrestling promotion inspired by ECW that has run over 200 shows. Their shows currently feature names like James Storm, Willie Mack, Haley J, Kenny King, and Luigi Primo, although, thanks to ICP being prepared to splash the cash, multiple WWE Hall of Famers have also worked for the company. At present, their main show, Lunacy, streams on YouTube, but with recent episodes garnering fewer than 10,000 views, drastic action is clearly needed.
