With WWE’s Netflix debut being a huge deal for the company, that week’s Raw was filled with star power with The Rock, John Cena, and The Undertaker in attendance. Still, the big talking point afterward was that fans in attendance at the Intuit Dome in California booed Hulk Hogan out of the building.
This was especially notable retrospectively as it would be Hogan’s last ever in-person WWE appearance. And now, while speaking to TMZ, Hogan’s former boss, Vince McMahon, has told the popular website that watching this made him angry, Hogan “deserved much more.”
Following the booing incident, Hogan would publicly claim he was okay with it because fans were just remembering him for his time as a heel in the nWo over two decades ago. Still, Jimmy Hart has since revealed that the two-time WWE Hall of Famer was “devastated” by the “mixed reaction,” which, considering his final appearance for the company, is certainly disappointing.
