While never considered a good in-ring wrestler, Vampiro became one of the biggest foreign stars in lucha libre history thanks to his look and charisma. Yet despite having had a 34-year career, he has revealed that he probably wasn’t someone you wanted to hang out with post-match, as he has told Title Match that he’s never had a shower at a venue. This is due to being “petrified” having learnt about Bruiser Brody’s death.
For those unaware, Bruiser Brody died aged 42 after being stabbed by José González in the shower area before a big show in Puerto Rico. And while some have claimed this was murder, González, also known as Invader 1, was acquitted, having claimed self-defense. Still, it shouldn’t be noted that the trial has been heavily criticized, with not all witnesses being present, due to subpoenas arriving after the trial had concluded.
