Update On Former WWE Wrestler Returning To The Company

Triple H has already given multiple previously released wrestlers a second chance in a post-Vince McMahon WWE. And recently, Chelsea Green’s name was suggested as someone WWE-bound after it was revealed she had filmed her Impact Wrestling departure at a recent set of tapings. However, if Green is to be believed, it appears she won’t be joining WWE anytime soon, as she has told Fightful Select that WWE has yet to even reach out to her. Also revealing, she is still with Billy Corgan’s NWA through March 2023.

Of course, this could be Green keeping her cards close to her chest, as it is commonplace for wrestlers to deny contact with promotions in order to ensure their return is a surprise. And it’s doubtful Green would spoil her WWE signing herself, considering how long she went through Tough Enough and later a WWE tryout to get recruited initially.

Sadly for Green, her WWE pursuit would end up wrecked when she broke her left wrist during her SmackDown debut on November 13th, 2020, when Liv Morgan dropkicked her off the ring apron in, which she was booked to win. Therefore with her off television, when WWE was making budgetary cuts in April 2021, she was deemed surplus to requirements despite having signed a three-year deal just five months earlier.
