Former “Jackass” star Bam Margera was arrested again last week for DUI. The incident violated his probation, and he spent the weekend in a Chester County Prison in Pennsylvania.
TMZ has now reported that Margera has been released from prison and is back in rehab. His lawyer said that Margera is a “good guy that has an addiction.”
“Everybody in the system, from the defense team to the prosecution to the probation office and the judge, are interested in seeing Bam get what he needs, which is not punishment, but treatment … nobody’s here with ill-intent. It helps Bam get the needed treatment that he will probably be recommended to get.’
The 44-year-old West Chester, Pennsylvania native appeared to be getting his life back on track in recent months. He also married fitness model Dannii Marie in May. While he was locked up, a judge ordered him to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Sources told TMZ that Margera is headed to Recovery Centers of America for inpatient treatment, and his case can be closed once treatment is completed. A bench warrant, however, will be issued if Margera doesn’t comply.
This latest incident follows a tumultuous few years for the ex-MTV star that saw him in trouble often. One one occasion he fled rehab, and on another he allegedly assaulted his brother.
