Much like his AEW debut, CM Punk’s return to AEW hasn’t been a well-kept secret, and it’s understood he will next be appearing on AEW television in time for their new Saturday show Collision. However, while it’s known there would be a brand split to keep The Elite, and Punk separated, Dave Meltzer has reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Punk will still occasionally appear on Dynamite. Adding that those who have an issue with him will then wrestle on Collision the weeks he is on Dynamite.
While it isn’t ideal that such a situation is required, it does allow everyone to be kept separated, while AEW brings in even more revenue thanks to a new show. Hopefully, though, time will eventually allow The Elite and Punk to eventually reconcile, as undoubtedly, there is money and great fan interest in a feud between them.
