Late last year, hard rock and metal fans were stunned to learn that former Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands guitarist Jake E. Lee had been shot three times while on a walk with his dog in Las Vegas. Lee played with Osbourne for five years from 1982 to 1987 appearing on “Bark At The Moon” and “The Ultimate Sin.”
Thankfully and somewhat miraculously, Lee survived the attack and appears to be fully recovered or at least well enough to participate in Black Sabbath and Ozzy’s “Back To The Beginning” event on July 5 streaming live from England. Lee provided an update on both the upcoming show and the situation surrounding the two men who shot him.
“I’m thrilled to be sharing the stage with top tier musicians,” Lee said via social media. “I won’t names cause you never know until the curtain rises, but will confirm once we have our rehearsal next week.”
As for the men who shot him, Lee said: “Oh, btw, the two that shot me have been caught and face sentencing next month. The gun was tied to two previous murders so my case is almost an afterthought. They’re going bye bye for a long time. On that happy thought, see ya on TV!”
