Triple H Says WWE Investigated Allegations Made Against Velveteen Dream

Velveteen Dream returned to NXT last Wednesday having been on a two-month hiatus. This return caused social media uproar due to the serious allegations made against him, which many fans felt needed to be thoroughly investigated. It should be noted that Patrick Clark Jr. (Dream’s real name) has denied all accusations.

Now in an interview with CBSsports.com, Triple H has stated that WWE did investigate the accusations and found no evidence, and the reason Dream was off television was because he was involved in a car accident.

You know, in this day today, accusations are made and you take them all very seriously. You look into them the best you can, and you find out what is there and what isn’t. In this situation, Clark was also involved in a car accident. That’s what took him off TV. In the moment, all this other stuff happens and you look into it and you find that there is a situation that people bring to everyone’s attention, you look into it and find that it is what it is and there’s nothing there.

Once he was medically cleared to be able to return to the ring from his car accident, we continued forward the way we did. We looked into what was there and we didn’t find anything.Triple H

In his return, Dream lost to Cameron Grimes in a triple threat match, also involving Kushida, then afterward, he turned heel by attacking Kushisa. He is now booked to wrestle Finn Balor this week in a match where the winner earns a spot int he ladder match at NXT TakeOver XXX for the currently vacated NXT North American Championship.
