Following their match at Worlds End’s Zero Hour, Tony Khan announced on social media that Hyan and Maya World were officially All Elite, indicating that he is serious about building his women’s tag division. And now, during the post-show media scrum, Khan has explained his decision to offer them deals, noting that they’ve consistently delivered in the ring, have earned widespread respect among their peers in the locker room, and that he wanted to end 2025 with some positive news.
Hyan and Maya World’s big break came when they stepped in on short notice for a November AEW Collision match, replacing Tegan Nox and Miranda Alize, who didn’t want to put over Tay Conti and Anna Jay in less than 3 minutes. Subsequently, Nox and Alize were highly criticized for their perceived unprofessionalism, and it’s doubtful either will work for AEW again. However, many fans online are now wondering whether the pair would have been offered the contracts that Hyan and World have just signed had they gone along with putting over TayJay.
