WWE’s yearly video game, WWE 2K25, is a massive seller in its own right, although thanks to downloadable content, it generates even more money and allows fans to play as characters who weren’t signed to the company during development. And now, following the release of the “Dunk & Destruction Pack,” TNA Hall of Famer Abyss, who currently works for WWE as a producer, has taken to X to acknowledge his highly anticipated inclusion, saying he is “incredibly honored.”
51-year-old Abyss, real name is Chris Parks, was likened to both Kane and Mankind during his 24-year career, although he never achieved anywhere near the same level of success as either of them. A big part of this is that he spent the bulk of his in-ring career as part of TNA, meaning far fewer people saw him compete than if he’d wrestled for WWE. Still, it’s understood that WWE did attempt to sign him in 2006, and had he joined, it’s believed he would have debuted at the following year’s Royal Rumble and then wrestled The Undertaker at WrestleMania 23.
