The Undertaker Charging Big Money To Sign His Rookie Cards At C2E2

While WWE doesn’t offer a retirement plan, one of the ways talents can make money well into their twilight years is by making personal appearances and autograph signings. And while it’s typical for the biggest stars to charge high amounts, fans have been shocked at this weekend’s C2E2 event with some of the prices The Undertaker has been asking via Fiterman Sports Group. This is because the newly inducted WWE Hall of Famer charges an additional $99 to add “HOF 22” to an item and a massive $499 to sign any of his 1991 rookie cards.

It’s understood that in the past, The Undertaker would outright refuse to sign his rookie cards, apparently knowing that when his signature is applied, the card could sell for around $400 on eBay. However, his stance has now clearly changed, as long as he and WWE’s business partners, Fiterman Sports Group, benefit from the increased value. And while this is disappointing for those who genuinely want one of the signed cards in their collection, it does make financial sense for the retired star.
