Over the past 24 hours, WWE has posted multiple videos on social media that focus on the shoes of people walking. Initially, fans believed this was teasing someone’s debut, but as more videos were shared, speculation arose that it was for a new stable. However, in news that has left many disappointed, PWInsider.com has reported that it is part of a viral campaign to promote WrestleMania 42, featuring Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Brock Lesnar in three of the five clips.
WrestleMania 42 was initially scheduled to take place in New Orleans, with The Rock memorably making the announcement on Television. Yet, in the wrestling business, money talks, and it was confirmed five months ago that WWE’s flagship event would again take place in Las Vegas. Precisely why the decision to switch locations was made is pure speculation, but it’s believed to be due to WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas having the largest gate in company history.
