The Original Sin Cara Accidentally Reveals His Unmasked Face While Live Streaming

Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde, who currently wrestles as Carístico and previously wrestled as Místico, and was the first Sin Cara, accidentally revealed his face to fans on Saturday evening on a live stream. Seemingly thinking the stream had ended, he decided to remove his mask but was soon alerted by those watching he was still streaming. Unfortunately for him, screenshots were taken and almost immediately began being shared across social media.

Carístico has always been protective of his identity, and his real name wasn’t public knowledge for the first 16 years of his career. It was only revealed when WWE made it known when they released him from his contract in 2014.

Out of respect for the Lucha libre tradition of masked wrestlers keeping their face hidden, we haven’t embedded the photo in this article, although a blurred version is available on PRWrestling.com.
