Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, collectively known as The Good Brothers, were released by WWE in February, catching many fans off guard as Anderson was recovering from surgery. However, with their non-competes now expired, the duo is wasting no time returning to the ring, as it has been announced on X that the former IWGP Tag Team Champions will wrestle on New Japan’s Resurgence show on Friday alongside the Young Bucks against Gedo, Gabe Kidd, David Finlay, and Clark Connors.

In 2022, the return of Gallows and Anderson to WWE was first discovered when the pair were spotted filming content with AJ Styles. At the time, it was noted that the pair had signed five-year deals rather than the typical three-year contracts because Triple H personally felt terrible about how they had been previously released under Vince McMahon’s leadership. Yet, having performed on all three of WWE’s top brands since their return, Triple H didn’t have anymore plans for either man and deemed them surplus to requirements himself.
