Bayley is one of WWE’s most prominent female stars, and it’s hard to imagine the current product without her. However, at one time, she was just a hardworking indie wrestler named Davina Rose, dreaming of an opportunity.
And now, during an appearance on The Undertaker’s podcast, she has revealed that while she was grateful to join NXT, she was unhappy with WWE’s suggestion of “Davia” as her moniker, hilariously claiming she told them,”That’s not even a name.”
Bayley, born in 1989 as Pamela Rose Martinez, debuted in 2008 on the independents before signing with WWE in 2012. In NXT, she won the Women’s Championship, and then on the main roster, she has held the Raw Women’s Championship, the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice, and the Tag Team Championships twice with Sasha Banks, as well as the 2019 Money in the Bank contract and the 2024 Royal Rumble match. Yet, while it’s assumed she has many years left in the ring, it’s known that she has explored producer roles and potentially opening a wrestling school.
