In truly shocking news, WrestlingNews.co has reported that Teddy Long’s son Antione has passed away. As of writing details are sparse, although it’s understood the disclosure was initially shared on Facebook, with Antione’s final post on the platform coming four days ago. This is sadly Long’s second devastating personal loss in recent times, as his wife of 40 years, Tasha, died in 2022.
77-year-old Long first made his name in the business as a referee before becoming an on-screen manager and later authority figure. And while he hasn’t worked full-time in the pro wrestling industry full-time since 2014, the WWE Hall of Famer remains fondly remembered by fans, especially due to his time as the General Manager of SmackDown. Therefore, when WWE wants to embrace nostalgia, Long has typically been one of the first performers they call.
