Payne Lindsey hosts and co-created the hit true crime podcast series Up And Vanished. Part 1 of season 4 In The Midnight Sun was released earlier this year, and part 2 premieres August 8th. Payne explains what drew him to the edge of the Arctic Circle to investigate two mysterious disappearances in Nome, Alaska – Alaska native Florence Okpealuk and Joseph Balderas, the lengths he went to in order to get answers, and the dangerous situation that netted the biggest clues but also had had him fearing for his life. He also discusses the missing person cases he covered in seasons 1 and 2 of Up And Vanished and what he loves about investigative journalism and podcast storytelling.
