New Jersey’s rich musical legacy is a lot more than just Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, and Asbury Park, and that’s what’s explored in the new documentary The Jersey Sound. Executive Producer Randy Dominguez and Music Supervisor Mark Mulch take us through the hours of footage, hundreds of interviews (including one with Chris Jericho), and the various neighborhoods that make up their 90-minute doc. They talk about Southside Johnny’s impact, Megaforce Records’s influence, the Stone Pony’s legend, and the camaraderie that defines the Jersey music scene. They share some of the stories that didn’t make the documentary and explain why former Aquarian Weekly editor Mike Greenblatt was the perfect narrator for this historical story!
