While speaking to TikToker Adam’s Apple, AEW star Swerve Strickland has addressed rumors about Chris Jericho’s potential WWE return. This would see Strickland disclose that he texted Jericho, congratulating him and offering support regardless of his decision. Currently, Jericho is on tour with his band FOZZY, but with WrestleMania fast approaching, it doesn’t look like the tour will be ending anytime soon.

As of writing, Chris Jericho remains listed on AEW’s website, suggesting that claims that his deal expired on December 31, 2025, were incorrect. However, as Jericho has not appeared on AEW programming since April 2025, it does appear his time with the promotion is coming to an end. Still, there is no guarantee he will even rejoin WWE, as it’s just as likely he is focused on non-wrestling pursuits, including multiple movie roles and filming an Apple TV+ series titled “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” which stars Nicole Kidman.
