Sting’s Pro Wrestling Legacy May Continue

Sting had one of the greatest retirement matches of all time earlier this year, which included his sons Steven and Garrett accompanying him to the ring and memorably even getting involved in the bout. And now it has been reported by Fighful Select, following a conversation they’ve recorded with Darby Allin, that Steven Borden, who dressed as Wolfpac Sting on the night, has begun training with him to become a pro wrestler himself.

“Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Darby Allin said that Steven, a former football player, was staying at his house and training to be a pro wrestler. He noted that Steven was sleeping in a tent in his front yard. Allin noted that Steven had not thought about getting into wrestling, but getting involved at AEW Revolution gave him the urge to train. The former TNT Champion said that he spoke with Sting and Steven and invited Steven to come train with him. Allin also said that he has a ring at his house to help with this process.”

The path of a second-generation wrestler is not always paved with success, as for every Cody Rhodes, Bret Hart, and Charlotte Flair, there is David Sammartino, Scott Putski, and René Duprée. However, if Sting’s son is determined to give it a shot, it appears he’ll support him every step of the way. And if he inherited even a fraction of his father’s talent, he could very well make a name for himself in the business.
