Stephanie McMahon Taking Leave Of Absence From WWE

Stephanie McMahon Taking Leave Of Absence From WWE

Stephanie McMahon began working for WWE in 1998 after graduating from Boston University. Initially, she would work on reception and television production before getting involved in creative and being made Senior Vice President of Creative Writing in 2006. Then in 2013, she became the company’s Chief Brand Officer, where she’d focus on building the WWE brand with advertisers, media, and other key stakeholders.

Now though, she has surprised wrestling fans worldwide by announcing on Twitter she is taking a leave of absence from the company to spend time with her family. This signifies that while she is departing the company for an extended period, she intends to return to her role in the future.

Why Stephanie has decided this is the right time to take this action isn’t known. However, with her husband Triple H having undergone a heart procedure after suffering what was described as a cardiac event last year, it’s likely that played a part in her decision. Additionally, this now means with Stephanie no longer involved in day-to-day operations and Shane departing the company following the Royal Rumble, Vince is the only McMahon currently with the WWE.
