When John Cena announced his “The Last Time Is Now Tournament,” it was stated that wrestlers who don’t currently work for the WWE would be competing. And now, after Matt Cardona returned to SmackDown under his Zack Ryder character to wrestle LA Knight, Fightful Select has reported that Dolph Ziggler is set to be Solo Sikoa’s mystery opponent on Raw.

Including his time in developmental, 45-year-old Ziggler, real name Nic Nemeth, spent 19 years with WWE and held multiple championships, including the World Heavyweight Championship twice. Still, he was never pushed as a main eventer, despite his unquestionable talent, with Vince McMahon being one of the few who didn’t see him as worthy of that spot.
