As soon as it was announced that WWE was purchasing AAA, it was assumed that any luchadors who would appeal to their audience would at least get a chance in NXT. And now, after Mr. Iguana disclosed in an interview that he was set to become a WWE Superstar, it appears Psycho Clown could be joining him. This is believed because, according to Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net, the 39-year-old is no longer taking independent bookings beyond August, suggesting he’ll be joining WWE full-time.
While Psycho Clown’s real name isn’t publicly available, it is known that he is the son of José Alvarado Nieves, who wrestled as Brazo de Plata and Super Porky. And while Psycho Clown would honor his father by working as Brazo de Plata Jr., his career really took off when he was repackaged and became part of Los Psycho Circus. Subsequently, he became one of the faces of AAA and, in Mexico, he is positioned as a main event talent.
