Slipknot’s Sid Wilson and Kelly Osbourne have been a longtime couple and prior to that were friends for decades. The couple welcomed their first child in 2022, and Wilson surprised Osbourne with a heartwarming and funny marriage proposal backstage at Saturday’s “Back To The Beginning” concert marking the final shows for Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne.
Sid started his proposal: “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world. Then Ozzy jokingly interrupted, “F*ck off. You’re not marrying my daughter.”
After a quick laugh Wilson continued saying, “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?” Kelly nodded yes while several who witnessed the moment erupted into cheers.
People magazine previously reported that Sid and Kelly met at Ozzfest in 1999 and were friends for more than 20 years before taking their relationship to the next level. Video of the proposal can be viewed below.
