Seth Rollins’ match with LA Knight during Saturday Night’s Main Event abruptly ended this past weekend, when the former ROH star suffered a knee injury and an audible was called. Yet while fans hoped it was just a precaution, Triple H has since claimed it “doesn’t look good.”

And now, having been spotted on crutches, Rollins has appeared on the Rich Eisen Show, disclosing that his knee is currently too swollen to receive a diagnosis and he is just hoping to be back in time for WrestleMania 42.

“When I landed, I felt my knee kind of pop and buckle. Monday, I was in Birmingham, Alabama, where our specialists were at. We took a look at the knee through imaging. It was a little too swollen, so we’ll take another look, hopefully in a week or two, so that we can get a firm diagnosis and go from there. I’m not a doctor, but I know my body, and what I feel is that this is gonna have me out for an extended period of time … I’ve always got WrestleMania in the back of my mind. I’m like, can I make it back for WrestleMania season?”Seth Rollins

While this seems to be terrible news for the current Money In The Bank briefcase holder, some people believe this could all be an elaborate work after John Pollack claimed he’d been told two days ahead of the show that an injury angle was planned. According to the PostWrestling.com journalist, WWE wants fans to believe Rollins is hurt, so they’ll be surprised when he cashes in at SummerSlam. And while this is far from confirmed, the fact that Rollins has indicated a diagnosis wouldn’t be known for a few weeks due to the swelling, the timing would be convenient, given the premium live event is two weeks away.
