Saraya is currently one of AEW’s top stars; however, her career was almost derailed in March 2017 after her private photos and an explicit tape were leaked online. This was a huge talking point at the time and resulted in her suffering a great deal of abuse and mockery. Now, during an interview with The Cruz Show Podcast, the former WWE star has bravely discussed this period in her life and called this time her “lowest, lowest point.”
“So that was like my lowest, lowest point, and I felt like I couldn’t go out in public, and everyone was making fun of me and roasting me. I was surrounded by people that weren’t good for me, weren’t healthy, wasn’t in the best relationship at the time, didn’t have the group of friends that I have now, and so it was really, really rough.”
SarayaIt’s known that Saraya, previously known as Paige in WWE, developed a drug and alcohol addiction during this difficult time. Thankfully, she has since rebounded, and despite suffering a severe neck injury that forced her to retire in the wake of the leak, she has since returned to the ring for AEW. Additionally, since 2018, she has been in a happy relationship with Falling in Reverse singer Ronnie Radke, who she credits with helping her get sober.
