Roman Reigns Calls CM Punk Bitter For His Past Comments On Part-Timers

Roman Reigns has previously stated that he doesn’t like CM Punk, and now in an interview with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport, the Universal Champion has doubled down when given the opportunity to discuss past comments made by him. Hawaii would ask Reigns about Punk’s well-known displeasure with part-timers coming back to take main events when he was in WWE, and Reigns would indirectly call Punk bitter and not as good as Cena or The Rock.

Those statements are coming from bitter people who possibly thought that they were better than they really were. When it comes down to it, CM Punk was not as good or as over as a John Cena. Was not as good or as over and moved the needle like The Rock. It was what it was. From a full-time performer, I understand the frustration in wanting more, but like I said before, you gotta take it. I’m a full-time performer, but I’ve done everything that needs to be done to stay in this position.

Roman Reigns

As previously mentioned, Reigns isn’t a fan of Punk, so he likely isn’t just slamming Punk because he is set to debut for AEW on this Friday’s Rampage. In fact, in the past, when asked if he’d do business with Punk if he were to return to WWE, Reigns confirmed he would but added Punk would “have to be slapped around a few times in order to get his mind right.

Obviously, the prospects of Punk and Reigns sharing a ring again are remote, with Punk about to be confirmed as All Elite and Reigns being the face of WWE. However, stranger things have happened in pro wrestling over the years, so it might be worth Punk keeping up with his MMA training just in case.
