BJ Whitmer, the husband of current Women of Honor World Champion Kelly Klein posted on Twitter that his wife was fired by phone on Tuesday while injured. You can read his tweet below.
ROH would dispute this telling PWInsider:
“We don’t generally discuss personal issues but they seem to have made it public, we didn’t fire Kelly Klein, we just notified her that we would not be renewing her contract.”
Klein recently allowed a disgruntled Joey Mercury to reveal private emails between ROH and herself, plus her requested salary of just $24,000. These emails and salary reveal caused ROH much embarrassment and are likely the reason she won’t be with the promotion after 31st December.
The promotion has one more PPV, and one TV taping before her contract expires so it will be interesting to see how her departure is handled given the animosity.
