ROH Champion Bandido’s Bad Luck With Injuries Continues

Current ROH World Champion Bandido was forced to withdraw from an RIOT Lucha event in Monterrey, Mexico, where he was set to face Flamita. The promotion announced the update via social media, confirming that Bandido would still attend fan signings despite the hand injury. As of writing, it is unclear when or how the injury occurred, but he has recently been competing on CMLL shows and remains scheduled to appear at ROH’s next taping on Wednesday night.

30-year-old Bandido has faced several setbacks during his time with AEW/ROH. The first would occur in June 2023, when he broke his wrist during a match against Konosuke Takeshita on AEW Rampage, requiring two surgeries and sidelining him for over a year until late 2024. Upon returning at ROH Final Battle in December 2024, he immediately sustained a concussion, which briefly sidelined him again. Additionally, in October 2025, he dislocated his shoulder during a CMLL match against Hechicero but continued wrestling.
