Ian Riccaboni is the voice of Ring of Honor, having worked for the promotion long before Tony Khan was involved in the wrestling business. And now the commentator has taken to Blue Sky to announce that he has re-signed with Khan, noting the agreement was reached some time ago. This is notable, as Riccaboni was named in the lawsuit filed by Kevin Kelly against AEW for breach of contract and defamation, indicating that Khan fully stands behind his commentator.
38-year-old Riccaboni broke into the business via the legendary Monster Factory school training in 2,014, performing as an interviewer and commentator. This would lead him to subsequently join ROH after a tryout, resulting in his eventual appointment as a full-time member of their broadcast team. Therefore, once Khan purchased the company, Riccaboni would begin working for AEW by commentating on Ring of Honor matches during Dynamite and Rampage.
