Last week, Rob Zombie revealed a detailed look at Herman Munster, played by Jeff Daniel Phillips, for his upcoming reboot of ‘60s horror/TV classic, “The Munsters.” In an Instagram post with multiple slides, Zombie wrote: “Many of you have been commenting on Herman’s excellent makeup and asking how can I do this for my next cosplay? Well, here are the true Hollywood secrets! Now you can be a real deal Herman!” Zombie included what fans would need to make their own “Herman” look for a cosplay or Halloween costume.

Artistic renderings are included offering steps to create the look before the final reveal of Herman Munster in the upcoming film. Zombie then posted behind the scenes footage including the makeup team tending to Lily and Herman Munster between takes. Zombie also posted a look at Mr. Goodbury, played by Roderick Hill and Mr. Graves, played by Mark Griffith.

On Memorial Day, Zombie made a cryptic post on his Instagram saying: “After 56 years he has returned …” The next day, Zombie revealed that Zombo, a horror movie host that was Eddie Munster’s favorite TV personality in the original series, will be featured in the reboot. In the original series, Herman Munster was jealous of how much Eddie loved Zombo and later tried to one-up the TV host with hilarious results. Zombie hasn’t yet revealed who will play Zombo in the new film, but the original character was played by late actor Louis Nye, who more recently starred in “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” The PG-rated film appears to be winding down production and is on target for a fall release.
