Motörhead’s longtime tour manager Eddie Rocha and production assistant Emma Cederblad recently paid tribute to the late, great Lemmy Kilmister with new Motörhead tattoos. While fresh ink is nothing too unique in itself, they had the tattoo artist mix in Lemmy’s ashes with the tattoo ink. The official Motörhead Instagram page posted a short video showing the process done by Stina Nyman of Eyescreamtattoo.com. Kilmister died in 2015 at age 70. Following his death, his ashes were encased inside bullets and sent out to close friends, which touring crew members used to pay tribute to him. Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, Ugly Kid Joe’s Whitfield Crane, singer Doro Pesch and former MTV VJ Riki Rachtman were among those that received the bullets.

The video clip begins with the caption: “Some of Lemmy’s ashes were shared with family and close friends.” The bullet is then shown before the powdery residue is seen being slipped into ink to create a portrait of the musician for Rocha’s leg, and the band’s iconic spade emblem for Cederblad. A biopic about Lemmy is in the works, and it will focus on the Motörhead frontman’s life prior to joining Motörhead. It is being directed by Greg Olliver, who directed the 2010 documentary, “Lemmy: 49% Motherf**ker, 51% Son of a Bitch.”
