Rikishi Comments On Jimmy & Jey’s WrestleMania XL Match

Going into WrestleMania XL, Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso was one of the most eagerly anticipated matches on the card. However, in many fans’ eyes, it failed to live up to expectations, with Dave Meltzer only giving the underwhelming match a rating of 3/4*. And now, during a recent interview, their father Rikishi would comment on the match, saying that while he thinks they delivered in the ring, they could have down with some more time. Additionally, he noted he felt there was a missing piece of the puzzle, which would have been his involvement.

“I’d like to send a big shoutout to my sons. To be able to finally their dream match in this industry that they’ve been wanting for a long time, I felt like they went out there, they delivered. I only wish that they could have had a little bit more time. I felt like there was a missing puzzle there, which is the guy who you’re listening to now.”

While most fans considered The Usos simply to be tag team specialists in the past, the twin brothers raised their game to new levels as part of The Bloodline storyline. Subsequently, both men became single performers, and while arguably Jey has excelled the most since they separated, Jimmy now has an opportunity to show the world what he can do, having been kicked out of the stable following Tama Tonga’s SmackDown debut.
